The TQQQ
Watch this video if you are considering our thesis and strategy. Whatever percentage we allocate towards the TQQQ you should know that percentage is high risk, we can mitigate that risk through PUT options on the TQQQ but it is still considered a higher risk investment due to the leverage. The highs are amazing and the lows suck but the options help and puts a floor to the equities. I do not recommend anyone buy this ETF with no downside protection in place.
Bottom line is if you want more return, you got to take more risk. A lot of these billionaires, their net worth is sitting in one stock…many wealth managers would call that risky and it is. I would consider our strategy less risky than that because we have a collection of companies and we have the PUTs… but again, if you want big returns you have to take educated bets and you have to take risks. No risk no Ferrari.
Moderate Hedged Portfolio Data. I am going to document some things here like notes from down market days. I want the information for myself somewhere that I can easily access and so others can see how my strategies fairs during downturns.
10/09/2025 Data: Portfolio value closed at $1,438,267
10/10/2025 Data: TQQQ alone is down 10.49% at market close. My portfolio with the PUTs are down 5.94%. The difference the PUTs saved is 4.55%. Ending Value of portfolio after market close is $1,354,370. The difference in dollars between 10/09/2025 and 10/10/2025 is $83,897. $83,897 in value was lost. Without the PUTs in place the portfolio would have dropped the full 10.49% to $1,287,392 for a dollar decline of $150,875. A decline of 3.47% from QQQ caused the leveraged ETF TQQQ to loose 10.49% (3X) in value or 5.94% in value when hedged with PUTs. I for one am pretty impressed by how well the PUTs worked on this leveraged ETF considering what could have been lost. Were closer to the unlevered 3.47% decline (5.94-3.47 = 2.47%) than we are the unlevered decline of 10.49% (10.49-5.94 = 4.55%). I will continue to monitor this.
